Make Email Marketing Work For You

Filed in: List Building by admin on 07-05-09

Email marketing is probably the most effective way of bringing in customers and business for your online business. That is, however, if it’s done right. When potential customers come to your site and sign up to learn more about your product or for your newsletter, they’re expressing interest. Keeping their interest is up to you.

Email marketing can do a lot of the selling for you, if it’s done correctly. Too many new business owners get overzealous with their email campaign and end up turning the people away because they’re too pushy. There’s a fine line between being persistent and being a pest. Send them an email thanking them for responding and give them a short introduction about yourself. People like doing business with someone they know and like. They may not yet know you, but the right kind of email will have them feeling like they know you. There are different methods business owners can use to help with their email marketing including email marketing software, auto responders, etc. Choose the method that works best for you and has you feeling the most comfortable.

Don’t ever underestimate the importance of a good subject line in your email. Don’t be aggressive or overbearing. At the same time, don’t tell them everything you want them to know in the subject line or they’ll have no reason to open the email. Make the subject line interesting enough that they’ll want to read the email. Peak their curiosity. If you don’t hear back from them, don’t give up. You don’t want to pester them every day for a week or you’ll be deleted immediately or worse yet, considered as spam. Give them a week or two and send another friendly email. Friendly emails are often your best choice to keep them interested and, possibly, get your referrals.

How To Create A Squeeze Page

Filed in: List Building by admin on 06-27-09

One of the biggest hurdles that faced me in my internet marketing career was how to setup the squeeze page with the autoresponder. The primary function of a squeeze page is to capture a person’s name and email address so that you can market to them over and over again. What would you prefer a one time sale or many repeat sales from loyal customers. The main problem for most people is that they are not good with direct response marketing. Internet marketing is basically this using the medium of the internet.

Your squeeze page will offer a free gift in exchange for a name and email address. You need a powerful headline and bullet points to motivate your reader to give you their name and email address in exchange for your free gift. I will add a free squeeze page generator to the free tools section on top. Creating a high converting squeeze page that converts thirty to forty percent of visitors into subscribers could mean the difference between poverty or becoming very wealthy online. When I first started this was a very difficult task for me and my squeeze pages only converted at five percent.
